Ron Paul: Israel created Hamas

Against the resolution to support Israel

Amazing.

A man who tells it like it is on the floor on Congress.

Israel created Hamas. The US created Osama bin Laden.

Can't have a man like that as president though.

Peres: Israel not worried by international image

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good thing, because Israel's image is not looking too good right now.

Red Cross demands Gaza access, cites 'shocking' discoveries

The International Committee of the Red Cross called on Israel to allow it immediate access to Gaza, saying a trip into Gaza City revealed weak children laying with their dead mothers and other "shocking" scenes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Remember, the Nazis allowed the Red Cross full access to the concentration camps. What is Israel hiding?

Israel Created Hamas to Split Palestine

So, the Mossad starts Hamas, with the original “intention” of being a charitable organization to the Palestinian people. And charity they did. Slowly, of course, it turned into a political and military organization, which was the true original intention. It challenged Fatah and the PLO as it does to this day. Divide and conquer: the oldest military tactic in the book…

Israel threatens to bomb Al-Shefa hospital

The Israeli occupation army that launches a monstrous military aggression on Gaza Strip has threatened to reduce Al-Shefa hospital to rubbles, alleging that Hamas leaders were hiding inside it.

The hospital is considered the biggest hospital in the tiny Strip where hundreds of patients are lying.

War and Natural Gas: The Israeli Invasion and Gaza's Offshore Gas Fields

Guess What? Lots Of Oil, Natural Gas In Gaza!

To find the real reasons behind conflicts and wars in this world, you need to follow some or all of four things: Money, blood, power or natural resources (usually oil or natural gas but it can be cobalt like in the Congo).

Oil is behind the conflicts in Darfur, Somalia and other similar places.

The war in Afghanistan was never about finding bin Laden. It was about uniting Afghanistan into a single government so a pipeline could be constructed to bring a million barrels a day from areas north of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia to markets (http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/sardi7.html).

We need to stop listening to what the "official" media tells us when it comes to conflicts and wars because the official media is corporate and government owned and/or controlled by government. Less than one percent of the "news" in the world today is reported and what is reported is usually heavily edited and slanted for propaganda purposes.

ADL blasts Holocaust imagery in anti-Israel protests

The comparisons of Israel to Nazi Germany being made at protests worldwide against the IDF's Gaza operation are a "cynical perversion" of history that has no place in civil societies, the New York-based Anti Defamation League said Tuesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bombing school kids with white phosphorus has no place in civilized society, but I don't hear you complaining about that!

Illegally occupying someone else's lands for thirty years (despite a UN Security Council Resolution demanding you leave) has no place in civilized society, but I don't hear you complaining about that, either!

Israel Puts Media Clamp on Gaza

Three times in recent days, a small group of foreign correspondents was told to appear at the border crossing to Gaza. The reporters were to be permitted in to cover firsthand the Israeli war on Hamas in keeping with a Supreme Court ruling against the two-month-old Israeli ban on foreign journalists entering Gaza.

Each time, they were turned back on security grounds, even as relief workers and other foreign citizens were permitted to cross the border. On Tuesday the reporters were told to not even bother going to the border.

Four of six IDF soldiers killed in Gaza were victims of friendly fire

Four Israel Defense Forces soldiers, who were killed in two separate incidents in the Gaza Strip on Monday, appear to have been killed by friendly fire, according to initial military investigations.

Robert Fisk: Why do they hate the West so much, we will ask

Have we forgotten the 17,500 dead – almost all civilians, most of them children and women – in Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon; the 1,700 Palestinian civilian dead in the Sabra-Chatila massacre; the 1996 Qana massacre of 106 Lebanese civilian refugees, more than half of them children, at a UN base; the massacre of the Marwahin refugees who were ordered from their homes by the Israelis in 2006 then slaughtered by an Israeli helicopter crew; the 1,000 dead of that same 2006 bombardment and Lebanese invasion, almost all of them civilians?

Israeli terror in Gaza overshadows US-Gulf forum

Israeli terrorism and the blindly biased US policy in the Middle East overshadowed deliberations at a high-profile forum on US-Gulf relations.

“The US, which is the largest trade and investment partner of the Gulf bloc, has adopted policies full of flaws against the Gulf nations and the Middle East, while it has been extending all-out support to Israel.”

Saudis reject oil embargo on Israel

OPEC's top producer says oil-producing states in the Middle East will not respond to Iran's call to halt crude supplies to Israeli supporters.

"The oil producers who need their income ... are not going to do that," Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal said at a Wednesday news conference.

"The use of oil, especially at this time, is an idea that is at least past its worth," he said. "The important thing, oil is not a weapon. You can't reverse a conflict by using oil."

Army general: Israel seeking a way out

A senior Israeli army official has admitted that Tel Aviv may not be able to topple Hamas through a military campaign in the Gaza Strip.

"It's doubtful if it is possible to bring about regime change in the Gaza Strip solely by force," head of General Staff's Operations Directorate Major General Tal Russo said in a Wednesday meeting with Tel Aviv's senior military officials, Israeli daily Ha'aretz reported.

Webmaster's Commentary:

710 dead and 3100 injured that we know of so far. For what?

And after Lebanon 2006, this will be two in a row that USreal could not pull off.

Israel 'fires on UN Gaza convoy'

At least one Palestinian has been killed after a UN relief agency convoy came under fire from Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, officials say.

The attack took place on Thursday as the lorries travelled to the Erez crossing to pick up supplies that were to have been allowed in during a three-hour ceasefire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Israel declares a three hour cease fire "for humanitarian reasons" (i.e. wants to look merciful in the eyes of the world) then breaks their own cease fire and shoots up a United Nations food convoy.

Israel bombs Gaza into the night

Israel has made 60 air strikes on the Gaza Strip in a single night after the first daily truce to allow in humanitarian aid expired.

Riding on fire and a third intifada

For the past five days the Red Cross and the Red Crescent emergency services have been blocked from evacuating the injured and the dead from key areas surrounding Jabaliya and Gaza City. Special Forces have occupied houses in the areas of Zeitoun, Atarturah, Zoumo and Salahedeen.

Paramedic Ali Khalil’s team was shot at on Monday afternoon. He told me, 'We had been told we had the go-ahead from the Israeli army through co-ordination with the Red Cross but when we arrived at the area we were shot at. We had to turn back'.

Outrage over proposal to boycott Jewish-owned shops

Webmaster's Commentary:

Where was the outrage when it was Muslim shops being boycotted and Muslim charities being raided and shut down because of non-existent links to terrorism?

Now, I do not favor punishing all Jews for Israel's actions because there are many Jews who rightly feel that Israel's actions are not only morally wrong but actually make the world far more dangerous for us all. But the same Jewish leaders so concerned for the economic well being of Jewish shop owners didn't seem to have any problems with stigmatizing all Muslims for the actions of al Qaeda ( which turned out to be a fake front group anyway). There is a clear double standard on display here that lies at the very heart of why Israel is viewed in such a negative light; one set of rules for the chosen and an entirely different set of rules for everyone else.

You do not end injustice by being unjust.

You do not end hate by being hateful.

You do not bring peace by making war.

Israeli troops kill U.N. truck driver at Gaza crossing

Israeli soldiers opened fire Thursday on a truck attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to the beleaguered Gaza Strip, killing one United Nations-contracted driver and seriously wounding another, U.N. officials said.

The shooting occurred at the Erez checkpoint, the main entrance used by relief agencies to funnel badly needed food and medical supplies into Gaza, where Israel is waging a devastating, 13-day-long military campaign against the militant Islamic group Hamas.

U.N. officials said that they had contracted the truck to deliver supplies into Gaza, and that the Israeli military had approved the delivery. But Israeli ground troops, which control the Erez checkpoint, fired on the truck. It wasn’t clear what caused the Israeli soldiers to open fire, and Israeli military officials weren't immediately available for comment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel doesn't check their targets before pulling that trigger. That is why so many kids are dead.

This brief review of Israel's record over the past four decades makes it difficult to resist the conclusion that it has become a rogue state with "an utterly unscrupulous set of leaders".

Red Cross finds starving children with 12 corpses in Gaza 'house of horrors'

The International Committee of the Red Cross has accused the Israeli military of "unacceptable" conduct and breaching international humanitarian law after discovering four emaciated children living next to the corpses of their mothers and other adults in bomb-shattered houses in Gaza City.

UN agency halts Gaza operations over Israeli fire

A United Nations aid agency said on Thursday it suspended all of its operations in the Gaza Strip because of the risk posed by Israeli forces in the territory.

An Israeli tank shell on Thursday killed two Palestinian forklift drivers in a convoy for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the U.N. said.

Schools run by UNRWA have also been hit by Israeli fire, killing more than 45 Palestinians, medical officials in Gaza said.

"UNRWA decided to suspend all its operations in the Gaza Strip because of the increasing hostile actions against its premises and personnel," Adnan Abu Hasna, the agency's Gaza-based spokesman, said.

The Gaza War and International Law - Phyllis Bennis Comments

Institute for Policy Studies analyst Phyllis Bennis comments on the implications of international law for such a conflict and why the UN Security Council appears so powerless to protect even its own facilities.

Yes, it really IS a crime under US law to boycott Israel!

The Bureau is charged with administering and enforcing the Antiboycott Laws under the Export Administration Act. Those laws discourage, and in some circumstances, prohibit U.S. companies from furthering or supporting the boycott of Israel sponsored by the Arab League, and certain Moslem countries.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"You WILL buy products from Israel and you WILL like them, schmuck!"

Israeli Foreign Ministry Coordinating Propaganda/Media Campaign

Israel's Foreign Ministry is coordinating a worldwide campaign to flood blogs and media web sites with propaganda in support of Israel's Cast Lead military operations against Gaza. The Foreign Ministry has sent out a three page "talking points" memo to be used by Israeli sympathizers in their comments posted to blogs and major media web pages. The Israeli campaign encourages its supporters to vote in on-line polls and respond to postings that are opposed to Israel's actions and supportive of Palestinian Gazans.

Journalists who attempt to present fair coverage of the Israeli attacks on Gaza are being barraged with e-mails from Israel supporters accusing them of "buying into" Hamas propaganda and "supporting terrorism." The accusations are backfiring against Israel with many journalists comparing notes and realizing the e-mails are part of a coordinated Israeli propaganda and intimidation effort.

'Iran aid ship nears Gaza'

An Iranian aid ship, destined for Palestinians, has reportedly entered Egyptian waters and scheduled to dock at the port of Gaza on Saturday.

According to IRIB, the ship, with 2000 tons of humanitarian aid, passed through the Suez Canal and will head for Gaza "After obtaining needed permissions".

Webmaster's Commentary:

This isn't a little wooden cabin cruiser full of volunteers that can be rammed with impunity. If Israel stops, or worse, fires upon Iran's ship, it will be perceived as an act of war.

Whereas Hamas has been designated by the Secretary of State as a Foreign Terrorist Organization;

Whereas, in June 2006, Hamas crossed into Israel, attacked Israeli forces and kidnapped Corporal Gilad Shalit, whom they continue to hold today;

Whereas Hamas has launched thousands of rockets and mortars since Israel dismantled settlements and withdrew from Gaza in 2005;

U.S. Weaponry Facilitates Killings In Gaza

The devastating Israeli firepower, unleashed largely on Palestinian civilians in Gaza during two weeks of fighting, is the product of advanced U.S. military technology.

The U.S. weapons systems used by the Israelis -- including F-16 fighter planes, Apache helicopters, tactical missiles and a wide array of munitions -- have been provided by Washington mostly as outright military grants.

The administration of President George W. Bush alone has provided over 21 billion dollars in U.S. security assistance over the last eight years, including 19 billion dollars in direct military aid as freebies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So let me get this straight: the IDF is killing civilians in Gaza, with weapons purchased courtesy of our tax dollars!?!?

Unflipping believable.

Red Cross: Israel breaking int'l law, letting children starve in Gaza

The International Committee of the Red Cross on Thursday accused Israel of delaying ambulance access to the Gaza Strip and demanded it grant safe access for Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances to return to evacuate more wounded.

Relief workers said they found four starving children sitting next to their dead mothers and other corpses in a house in a part of Gaza City bombed by Israeli forces, the Red Cross said on Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to the members of the IRC; to think, for one moment, that Israel has one bit of compassion for the collateral damage caused by the invasion of Gaza, is to be completely deluded.

To believe that you can "shame" Israel into behaving, from a standpoint of international law, is naive in the extreme.

When it comes to militarily grabbing and holding territory to annex to Israel, Israel has no shame.

Israel doesn't want peace; it wants more land for expansion. And it will attempt to get that land they're after by any means necessary.

Day 13 of Israeli War On Gaza - Death toll 770, injured 3200 and most of them Civilians

US military re-supplying Israel with ammunition through Greece

During the Israeli assault on Lebanon in the summer of 2006, in which 1200 Lebanese people were killed, 90% of whom were civilians (and 168 Israelis were killed, 10% of whom were civilians), the US Congress approved funding for an 'emergency' shipment of cluster bombs to Israel after Israel had dropped their entire store of the banned weapon on civilian population centers in southern Lebanon. Over one million cluster bomblets were dropped in southern Lebanon, largely due to the US 'emergency' shipment. Many of those bomblets remain on the ground in Lebanon, unexploded two years later. They continue to kill and maim Lebanese civilians, mainly children and farmers, who come across the unexploded bomblets and step on them or pick them up.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Meanwhile, Americans are loosing their jobs, paying for bailouts, stores are closing which will lead to more unemployment....

Yet our government forces you to pay for more death.

When will you tell them "no more?"

Agreement Reached on U.N. Resolution Calling for Mideast Cease-Fire

The United States reached agreement in principle with Western European nations and key Arab states Thursday on a U.N. Security Council resolution that calls for a cease-fire between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip and condemns all violence against civilians, a senior European diplomat said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No mention of the elected government of Gaza having a say, of course.

UN passes Gaza ceasefire resolution

The UN Security Council has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza that Arab nations hope will put an end to Israel's 14-day assault on the territory.

The resolution, passed by the 15-member body on Thursday with 14 votes in favour and only the US abstaining, "stresses the urgency of and calls for an immediate, durable and fully respected ceasefire, leading to the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza".

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am stunned that the US only abstained instead of executing a veto.

Not that it matters because right after the UN passed the resolution Israel attacked thirty targets in Gaza!

Now, remember what we did to Iraq when it was thought (incorrectly as it turned out) that Iraq had defined a United Nations Security Council Resolution?

Does Israel deserve any less?

UN: Israel Admits Claims About Attacked School Baseless

Much was made of the claim, including reports that Israel was mulling filing a formal complaint to the United Nations about Hamas’ use of the facility. But as the United Nations poked holes in the official story, Israel is now backing off those claims.

And while Israel had previously claimed to have had proof to back up its story, Gunness says the military is now conceding that the mortar fire they previously claimed came from the school came from elsewhere in the refugee camp. Though Israel is trying to keep its admission of guilt relatively quiet (far more quiet than its allegations that the killings were justified) it will doubtless pay a further price in the court of international public opinion for having once again deliberately targeted a building full of innocent civilians.

Masters In Distortion Of The Truth

The media coverage of the war in Gaza by Western television companies is largely unfair and biased because of a refusal to show viewers the real images of the victims.

One of the reasons for this is Israel’s decision not to allow the Western media in to Gaza.

In addition to this outrageous censorship by a so-called democracy, we get the usual arguments that most of the images shown by the Arab media are too shocking to show the viewing public in the West.

Admittedly, the horrific clip sent to me of a child’s head lying detached, among debris in Gaza did make me gasp.

But this is war and this is real and if the Western media did show these sort of images maybe the general public would wake up to the full horrors of what happens when bombs are dropped on civilian populations.

Israeli Butchers Order 100 Family Members Into House Then Shell It, Killing 70

For those who still believe the Israeli lie that they are not targeting civilians, and that if they do target civilians, then those civilians (including infants) must be "terrorists," this is a recount of the butchery displayed by the US-funded Israeli military earlier this week.

According to surviving members of the al-Samouni family, on Sunday of this past week, Israeli soldiers ordered approximately 100 members of the extended al-Samouni family to gather into one single house in the town of Zeitoun near Gaza City. Just after dawn the following morning, knowing that the house was filled with civilians including mothers with infants and children, the Israeli military repeatedly shelled the house, killing approximately 70 members of the family.

IS this the NY Times???

It must be the highest degree of war crimes for an army to
force families to take shelter in a building, and then bomb and kill them in the building.

"No rescuers came. Instead, Israeli soldiers entered their building late Sunday night and told them to evacuate to another building. They did. But at 6 a.m. on Monday, when a missile fired by an Israeli warplane struck the relatives’ house in which they had taken shelter, there was nowhere to run."

Warnings Not Enough for Gaza Families

No rescuers came. Instead, Israeli soldiers entered their building late Sunday night and told them to evacuate to another building. They did. But at 6 a.m. on Monday, when a missile fired by an Israeli warplane struck the relatives’ house in which they had taken shelter, there was nowhere to run.

Eleven members of the extended Samouni family were killed and 26 wounded, according to witnesses and hospital officials, with five children age 4 and under among the dead.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel has crossed a major line here if even the New York Times is reporting this story (although their count of the dead is lower than other reports).

Eliyahu advocates carpet bombing Gaza

All civilians living in Gaza are collectively guilty for Kassam attacks on Sderot, former Sephardi chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu has written in a letter to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Webmaster's Commentary:

By that same logic, all Israelis everywhere are guilty for the attack on USS Liberty, the Lavon affair, and "other things."

War in Gaza: Israel accused of shelling house full of children

The United Nations has accused Israeli troops of evacuating scores of Palestinians – including children – into a house in Gaza and then shelling the property 24 hours later, killing some 30 people.

In a report published today on what it called "one of the gravest incidents" of the 14-day conflict, the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) complained that the Israeli Defence Force then prevented medical teams from entering the area to evacuate the wounded.

The Trial Of Israel

"It is way past time," mused an old man in the corner.

"Time for what!" barked his recently terminated program manager.

"Time to drag that little outlaw-country into the world-court and force it to answer for what they've been doing for the last six decades" the old-one responded; with just the hint of a smile near the corner of his ancient mouth.

Israel reminds most people of a totally out-of-control teenager who thinks of himself as both a rebel and an outlaw-when in fact he's just a common criminal that has become a legend in his own mind. Today he is in the criminal-courts division of global-public opinion; at a hearing to determine whether or not he, Israel, should be allowed to continue to exist.

Gaza victims' burns increase concern over phosphorus

Photographic evidence has emerged that proves that Israel has been using controversial white phosphorus shells during its offensive in Gaza, despite official denials by the Israel Defence Forces.

There is also evidence that the rounds have injured Palestinian civilians, causing severe burns. The use of white phosphorus against civilians is prohibited under international law.

The Times has identified stockpiles of white phosphorus (WP) shells from high-resolution images taken of Israel Defence Forces (IDF) artillery units on the Israeli-Gaza border this week. The pale blue 155mm rounds are clearly marked with the designation M825A1, an American-made WP munition.

Israel to continue offensive despite UN resolution

In Israel's first official response to the UN Security Council resolution, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office said Israel "has never agreed to let an external body decide its right to protect the security of its citizens."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wish to stress once again what happened to Iraq when it was (erroneously, as it turns out) thought to be defying a UN Security Council Resolution.

Attacks continue as Israel shuns ceasefire call

Israel pushed ahead with its two-week-old offensive in the Gaza Strip today, defying a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel did not even pause when the UN Resolution was announced, yet insists the fact that HAMAS continues to fight back as "proof" that the cease fire would not work.

Keep in mind that HAMAS did conform to the previous cease fire for 6 months, until Israel attacked on November 5th.

Gaza Seen From Paris

Many people, especially on the left, persist in thinking that Israel is only a pawn in an American capitalist or imperialist strategy to control the Middle East. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Israel is of no use to anybody or anything but its own fantasies of domination. There is no petroleum in Israel, or Lebanon, or Golan, or Gaza. The so-called wars for oil, in 1991 and 2003, were waged by the United States, with no help from Israel, and in 1991 with the explicit demand from the United States that Israel stay out (because Israel’s participation would have undermined Washington’s Arab coalition). For the pro-Western petro-monarchies and the "moderate" Arab regimes, Israel’s ongoing occupation of Palestinian lands is a nightmare, which radicalizes much of their populations and threatens their rule. It is Israel, by its absurd policies, that provoked the creation of both Hezbollah and Hamas and that is indirectly responsible for much of the recent growth of "radical Islam".

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel survives via a gigantic kickback scheme. Congress sends billions of your tax dollars to Israel. Part of the money gets sent back to private Israeli supporters in the US (members of AIPAC) who donate to Congress with the implicit understanding that yet more of your money will be sent to Israel.

UN RIGHTS CHIEF SUGGESTS MISSION TO ASSESS POSSIBLE WAR CRIMES IN GAZA CONFLICT

“Accountability must be ensured for violations of international law,” she said, suggesting that the Council should consider authorizing a mission to assess violations committed by both sides in the conflict in order to establish the relevant facts and ensure accountability.

“I remind this Council that violations of international humanitarian law may constitute war crime for which individual criminal responsibility may be invoked,” she added.

She also called on the parties to the conflict to allow the deployment of independent human rights monitors in both Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory to document any violations of international human rights and humanitarian law. She urged that so-called Special Procedures mandate holders be granted unrestricted access to Gaza and the West Bank.

A version of the Web page cached by Google reads: "Stop attacks u israel and usa ! you cursed nations ! one day muslims will clean the world from you ! Webmaster's Commentary:

Another obvious false flag.

Remember the letters that came with the Anthrax attacks? They were written to appear to be from Muslims. But whether you think Philip Zack or Stephen Hatfill was the actual culprit, the letters were clearly fakes to frame Muslims for the crime.

That's what this is. That's what ALL of this is, a non-stop constant no-holds-barred to frame and demonize Muslims, to trick you into supporting what Israel is doing in Palestine.

The Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni states there are.......

No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza! No civilian casualties in Gaza!

Massacre of a family seeking sanctuary

With foreign journalists barred by Israel from entering Gaza, it is not easy to reconstruct every detail of what happened with any certainty. But Maysaa's account to the Israeli human rights organisation B'Tselem is broadly and quite separately corroborated by other family members, including a religious studies teacher, Ahmad al-Samouni.

The 23-year-old told The Independent: "One shell hit the door, killing my cousin Muhammad immediately. One shell, I believe it was from an Apache, hit the ceiling. Then another shell and another." Ahmad could only recognise his dead mother Rahmeh, 45, from her clothes and earrings because "part of her head was gone".

U.S. seeks ship to move arms to Israel

The U.S. is seeking to hire a merchant ship to deliver hundreds of tons of arms to Israel from Greece later this month, tender documents seen by Reuters show.

The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC) said the ship was to carry 325 standard 20-foot containers of what is listed as "ammunition" on two separate journeys from the Greek port of Astakos to the Israeli port of Ashdod in mid-to-late January.

A "hazardous material" designation on the manifest mentions explosive substances and detonators, but no other details were given.

"Shipping 3,000-odd tons of ammunition in one go is a lot," one broker said, on condition of anonymity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And YOU are paying for all this stuff, at a time when 11 million of you have list your jobs, and one out of every ten of you will lose your homes this year.

REMEMBERING RACHEL CORRIE IN GAZA

The death toll continues…
Still no foreign media inside Gaza
Local media were targeted, a Palestinian journalist was killed and a media center attacked…
More chemical munitions, much more, dropped on Gaza today…
The UN Security Council Resolution 1860 passed yesterday fell on deaf ears, and on more dead children’s bodies…

Israel Rejected Hamas Cease-Fire Offer in December

Contrary to Israel's argument that it was forced to launch its air and ground offensive against Gaza in order to stop the firing of rockets into its territory, Hamas proposed in mid-December to return to the original Hamas-Israel cease-fire arrangement, according to a U.S.-based source who has been briefed on the proposal.

UN human rights chief accuses Israel of war crimes

The United Nations' most senior human rights official said last night that the Israeli military may have committed war crimes in Gaza. The warning came as Israeli troops pressed on with the deadly offensive in defiance of a UN security council resolution calling for a ceasefire.

Rice says it is 'hard' for Israel to spare civilians in Gaza

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday "it's hard" for Israeli troops to shield civilians in Gaza because the area is so densely populated and Hamas uses people as human shields.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Condi. You only have a few days left on the job. How about shutting up and sparing the nation any further embarrassment.

Civilians would not be dying at all if Israel had not broken the cease fore back on November 5th.

Civilians would not be dying if Israel would give to the Palestinians that which Israel demands for itself, a right to exist and a state of their own.

WHO IS THE US CONGRESS LISTENING TO?

Why would the US Congress, which supposedly exists to serve the will of the AMERICAN people, be obeying the will of Israel? Well, maybe because Israel's PACs, including lobbying/spying organization AIPAC, are
PAYING THEM TO!

2008 Pro-Israel PAC Contributions to Congressional Candidates

Webmaster's Commentary:

See just WHY Congress stood up and did the 'Sieg Heil' for Israel's crimes in Gaza.

Bush Ordered US to Abstain From Gaza Vote

The final vote came as a result of days of negotiations, and the United States threatened to veto the third bill if it was proposed by Libya, though it eventually decided that it might allow the bill to move forward if it was proposed, as the final one was, by Britain.

With Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the United Nations and the vote taking place, she received a final call from President Bush instructing her to allow the bill to go through, but not to vote for it. Rice explained that while the United States supported the text, they could not vote for it because of their special relationship with Israel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"could" not vote for it because their special relationship with Israel.

Not "would" not. "COULD" not. That tells you what the special relationship is.

"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that, I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it."
- Ariel Sharon (Prime Minister of Israel) p† Israeli Hebrew radio, Kol Yisrael, 3 october 2001.

JUSTIFYING THE WAR IN GAZA IS AS CRIMINAL AS THE WAR ITSELF

Anyone who justifies this war also justifies all its crimes. Anyone who sees it as a defensive war must bear the moral responsibility for its consequences. Anyone who now encourages the politicians and the army to continue will also have to bear the mark of Cain that will be branded on his forehead after the war. All those who support the war also support the horror.

GOOGLE CONTINUES TO CENSOR URUKNET

As our readers know, on April 24, 2008 Google stopped indexing Uruknet.info as a news source. It was the fourth time that Google discontinues indexing Uruknet. The previous times google had reinstated it following many complaints sent in by our readers. The last time there was nothing to be done: in a first moment google news wouldn’t even answer to our emails and, at last, after about ten days has answered with a series of lies.

A Music School Silenced in Gaza

Like other buildings in the neighborhood, the Gaza Music School was shattered; window frames and doors were blown out, and holes were punched in the walls. The force of the blast imploded the four ouds, just like it had the compound.

Hamas rejects the peace plan manipulated by U.S. and European Union to save Israel

Hamas and Palestinian resistance organizations on Tuesday broke a diplomatic operated by the U.S., EU and Arab allies of the Zionism in the UN aimed at establishing a truce favorable to the aims of Israel "victorious" retreat from the Strip Gaza, where its troops are already bogged down and suffering heavy casualties until now hidden by the Jewish military.

israeli spokesman gets shut up by Alex Thomson

Alex Thomson from Channel 4 news on 08.01.2009 @ 8pm (London news) shuts up Mark Regev about israel's appalling satanic lack of human-rights!!! Not even sparing the babies!!!

Hamas leader accuses Israel of Gaza holocaust

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal has accused Israel of perpetrating a "holocaust" in Gaza and said its invasion had only succeeded in drowning the besieged territory in a "sea of blood".

Israel’s bombardment of Gaza is not self-defence – it’s a war crime

ISRAEL has sought to justify its military attacks on Gaza by stating that it amounts to an act of “self-defence” as recognised by Article 51, United Nations Charter. We categorically reject this contention.

The rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas deplorable as they are, do not, in terms of scale and effect amount to an armed attack entitling Israel to rely on self-defence. Under international law self-defence is an act of last resort and is subject to the customary rules of proportionality and necessity.

The killing of almost 800 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and more than 3,000 injuries, accompanied by the destruction of schools, mosques, houses, UN compounds and government buildings, which Israel has a responsibility to protect under the Fourth Geneva Convention, is not commensurate to the deaths caused by Hamas rocket fire.

Israel's Wall in the West Bank

Dead Gaza fighters "bulldozed into piles"

A Palestinian man captured by Israeli troops in Gaza said after his release on Friday that he had seen the corpses of many Islamist fighters bulldozed into piles covered with sand.

"They used a bulldozer to pile up the bodies of the dead. There were bodies of many fighters," said the man, who was released by the Israelis after five days of detention and allowed to return to Gaza.

An Israeli army spokesman said he had no knowledge of such an incident.

Israel follows the path of Nazi Germany

A striking similarity between Israel’s strategy in Palestine and Nazi long-term policy of extermination and annexation in Poland during the Second World War is clearly demonstrated by the Nuremberg Tribunal Charges and the Nuremberg Tribunal Judgement against Hans Frank, the Nazi Governor-General of the non-annexed occupied Poland in 1939 - 1945. It is absolutely shocking to read the documents and to see how many objectives and tactics in these two occupation theatres can be assessed as parallel.

FLASHBACK - 2001 - 'New' Israeli gas causes mass convulsions in the Gaza Strip

Just six days after the landslide election of Ariel Sharon, February 12, 2001 was a violent day in occupied Palestine. In the war-ravaged neighborhoods of Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a barrage of collective punishment after soldiers were shot at by Palestinian gunmen. Machinegun fire and tank shells rained down on the refugee camps, a fusillade that lasted long into the night. The next morning would find an estimated 300 Palestinians newly homeless.(1)

In occupied Palestine, where neighborhoods can become high-tech, made-in-America shooting galleries in the blink of an eye, it might have been just another day of occupation. But the Israeli army chose that afternoon to introduce a new and mysterious gas weapon to a defenseless population. To ensure its delivery, the soldiers fired the gas canisters into the streets, courtyards, and houses of the Khan Younis and Gharbi refugee camps.(2)

ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHS OF HAMAS’ MOST WANTED TERRORISTS

Webmaster's Commentary:

These are photos of the people Israel considers HAMAS terrorists and legitimate targets of war. After all, Tzipi Livni keeps insisting that there are no civilian casualties.

Israelis accused of gas strike on Gaza citizens

ISRAEL was last night accused of using gas against civilians in Gaza.

Charity workers said hospitals treated scores of people suffering eye and breathing problems.

Christian Aid said: "People have been exposed to gas. Doctors don't know what it is - a kind of tear gas."

Some 800 Palestinians - including 250 children - have been killed in the two-week offensive.

Israel Advances in Gaza

Paramedics said that most of the injured had sustained burns and inhaled poisonous gases, symptoms caused by exposure to white-phosphorus munitions. The above information has yet to be confirmed, but the use of white-phosphorus munitions against civilians is forbidden by international law.

Jewish settlers: Move us back to Gaza

Former residents of the Gush Katif Jewish settlements have asked Israeli officials to relocate them back to the evacuated communities in Gaza.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I told you this was the real agenda.

WHY THE PRESS IS BARRED FROM GAZA

The IOF also raided a tower used by journalists and broadcast technicians in Gaza City. IOF’s unilateral ceasefire, which lasts for three hours every day, is not being observed by the IOF as attacks were launched during it in several areas in the Gaza Strip.

Up to 200,000 protest Israeli aggression in Central London

The estimated turnout for this protest, according to Andrew Murray, was 200,000. I don't mind what precise figure people put on it, but it was massive, and certainly above 100,000. To this can be added the protests across the UK, which respectively numbered in hundreds and thousands. As I said earlier, this was the largest ever pro-Palestinian demonstration in the United Kingdom. I met a guy I know from MPAC at the start, and he agreed that the size of the demo was astonishing - this was as we were crowding into Hyde Park, before it even really kicked off. The severity of what Israel is imposing on Gaza, with the assistance of UK arms and the benevolence of UK diplomacy, has galvanised people in a way that we haven't seen since 2003.

250000 in Madrid against Israel's genocide

More than 250000 people, including the actors and arts association, the palestian embassador in Spain, politicians, etc...
The sentiment in Spain from the people and the goverment is so strong that the Israeli Embassy has issued a manifest saying that the spanish goverment and people are using double standars by critizicing Israel, because what they are doing is as justified as when Nato intervined in yugoslavia and how come the spanish people did not come out in the past defending Israel when hammas was launching rockets at them....

Cities across the world become platform for hundreds of thousands of protesters against Gaza fighting

Webmaster's Commentary:

IS EVERY #$%^ING WESTERN GOVERNMENT ON EARTH UNDER THE CONTROL OF ISRAEL TO THE POINT WHERE THEY ARE SO TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THEIR OWN TAXPAYERS?!?!?

Israel’s Re-Re-Re-Re-Re-Re-Re-Revised Story: Attack on UN School was a Malfunction

The initial “official story” was that even though they knew the building was being used to house hundreds of displaced civilians, it was deliberately attacked, “according to procedures,” because it was being used as a hiding place for Hamas and because Hamas was firing rockets from the premises. The IDF even claimed to have video footage to back up its claims, though it turned out to be over a year old and from a different school in a different city. So outraged was the Israeli government at the furor it created that it considered formally complaining to the United Nations about letting Hamas use its school.

But that was just the first draft of the official truth, and it didn’t fly. The UN contradicted the story at every turn, and the Israeli government eventually had to concede that its narrative was baseless. The school was not, and had never been a valid military target.

Israeli planes fly over Egypt to bomb Gaza: witnesses

Israeli warplanes have been flying over Egyptian territory during their bombing runs along the border between Gaza and Egypt, witnesses said on Sunday.

Hamas is a child of Israel

The resolution contained numerous twists of history, but the most glaring absurdity is the following:

“Whereas Hamas was founded with the stated goal of destroying Israel…”

Perhaps the senators were in a rush to collect campaign contributions, so they did not have time to glance at the history of how Hamas arose to power.

Hamas was created with massive aid from the Israeli government.

US Congress and Seanate vote for IDF slaughter in Gaza to continie - the public don't

According to the critics, John J. Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, in their “The Israel Lobby,” much exaggerated the power of the lobby. The critics claimed that congressional support for Israel simply reflected the views of the American people. Congress’ recent resolution on Gaza, however, would seem to belie this criticism and underscore the immense power of the Israel Lobby.

Congress almost unanimously endorsed the Israeli mass killing of civilians in the Gaza Strip, which, of course, involves the use of American weapons. By voice vote, the Senate gave unanimous support for the resolution.

The House of Representatives voted 390 for the resolution with only 5 against [Kucinich, Moore (WI), Paul, Rahall, Waters]

The view of the American public, however, was significantly different. As the following article points out, the American people “do not support this senseless slaughter in anything near overwhelming numbers.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

If Congress takes our taxes, but refuses to represent our decisions, then we have taxation without representation, and I was taught in school that this is a valid reason for the removal of a government.
