(Dictionnaire Black's Law page 824).

De Facto North American Government in the Making: "Canadians must take back Canada"

by Connie Fogal

October 22, 2006, GlobalResearch.ca

It is important that Canadians understand what is happening in the USA because a de facto North American government of unelected industrialists, financiers, academics, military leaders along with representatives from our elected governments and government officials including our Prime Minister (both Liberal and Conservative) are busy implementing the same incredible changes into the nation we have known as Canada.

Canadians are affected by the USA's Military Commissions Act. Unlike Britain, we are not exempt from being scooped away as an "enemy combatant" if George W. Bush wants us. The US Homeland Security Logo is already posted in several Canadian airports- even in the local small airport of Penticton BC in a town of only 30,000 people but which now hosts a full sized runway that can land very big planes. Why?

So, please read the excellent commentary of Keith Olbermann, Anchor, 'Countdown' MSNBC , on the USA Military Commissions Act. Although it describes the horror of what this act does in the USA, the article also is a message of hope and a future because it describes the history of previous bad USA law that was repealed, and bad Presidents who were defeated. Remember Ghandi's words:

"There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it....always"

Just as citizens of the USA must and can take back their nation, Canadians must take back Canada. As Canadians we can wring our hands in despair, bow our heads, cow with our tail between our legs, lick boots and whine, turn in our neighbour or friend or family, or we can stand up for what is right and principled.

We can join the cowards and traitors, or we can say NO.

In Canada there is still a legitimate mechanism to defend against this complicit conquest.

To be secure, we must be free. Without freedom there is no security.

"Deep Integration": Timeline of the Progress Toward a North American Union

Canadian, U.S., and Mexican elites, including CEOs and politicians, have a plan to create common North American policies and further integrate our economies. This plan goes by various names and euphemisms, such as "deep integration", "NAFTA-plus", "harmonization", the "Big Idea", the "Grand Bargain", and the "North American Security and Prosperity Initiative". Regardless of which name your prefer, the end goal of all of these plans is to create a new political and economic entity that would supercede the existing countries. Advocates refer to it as a "North American Community", but it is also known as the North American Union (NAU). Theoretically, it would be similar to and competetive with the European Union (EU). The individual currencies of each country would be replaced by a common currency called the "Amero" and everything from environmental regulations to security would be brought in line with a common standard.

Vive le Canada.ca offers the following timeline as a resource to educate the general public about the progress of the three countries toward a new North American Union (NAU).

Vive le Canada.ca opposes the creation of the North American Union (NAU) because we believe it will mean the loss of Canadian sovereignty and democracy and hand over more power to giant, unelected corporations. We also believe that unlike the EU, the countries joining the NAU are not roughly equal in size and power and that this means the U.S. will most certainly be setting policy for all three countries. Considering the unpopularity of the Bush administration and its policies in the U.S., Canada, and around the world we believe that erasing the borders between our countries and adopting U.S. policies at this time is a bad idea and will create economic, political and military insecurity in this country. We hope that raising awareness about the plan to create a North American Union (NAU) will create opposition and encourage debate in all three countries, but especially in Canada.

North American Union to Replace USA?

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted May 19, 2006

President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.

Secretly, the Bush administration is pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA to include Canada, setting the stage for North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.

President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.

The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:

At their meeting in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin committed their governments to a path of cooperation and joint action. We welcome this important development and offer this report to add urgency and specific recommendations to strengthen their efforts.

What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:

In March 2005, the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States adopted a Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), establishing ministerial-level working groups to address key security and economic issues facing North America and setting a short deadline for reporting progress back to their governments. President Bush described the significance of the SPP as putting forward a common commitment "to markets and democracy, freedom and trade, and mutual prosperity and security." The policy framework articulated by the three leaders is a significant commitment that will benefit from broad discussion and advice. The Task Force is pleased to provide specific advice on how the partnership can be pursued and realized.

To that end, the Task Force proposes the creation by 2010 of a North American community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity.

North American Union leader says merger just crisis away

Leading intellectual force behind effort toward EU-style unity looks at future

Robert Pastor, a leading intellectual force in the move to create an EU-style North American Community, told WND he believes a new 9/11 crisis could be the catalyst to merge the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Pastor, a professor at American University, says that in such a case the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP – launched in 2005 by the heads of the three countries at a summit in Waco, Texas – could be developed into a continental union, complete with a new currency, the amero, that would replace the U.S. dollar just as the euro has replaced the national currencies of Europe.

In May 2005, Pastor was co-chairman the Council on Foreign Relations task force that produced a report entitled "Toward a North American Community," which he has claimed is the blueprint behind the SSP declared by President Bush, Mexico's then-President Vicente Fox, and Canada's then-Prime Minister Paul Martin.

Canadian, US, Mex Officials In Secret Talks On NAU Integration

Canadian, U.S. and Mexican politicians discussed using "stealth" to overcome public resistance to the integration of the three countries at a confidential meeting last year, according to documents just released under U.S. Freedom of Information laws.

08/02/07 "Ottawa Citizen" -- -- Top military brass, corporate executives and diplomats also attended the meeting in Banff, Alta., where participants discussed everything from the harmonization of food and drug standards, to common immigration policies, and the pooling of energy resources.

The secret guest list of the North American Forum included then-U.S. secretary of defence Donald Rumsfeld, Canadian Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Rick Hillier, Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day, Pengrowth Corp. CEO James Kinnear and Lockheed Martin executive Ron Covais.

Presentation outlines for the forum acknowledge that the concept of North American integration - which some call a "North American Union" - is unpopular, and note that it might be tough to sell as a concept.

Getting closer to Uncle Sam

Away from the spotlight, from Sept. 12 to 14, in Banff Springs, Minister of Public Safety Stockwell Day and Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor met with U.S. and Mexican government officials and business leaders to discuss North American integration at the second North American Forum.

The event was organized by the Canadian Council of Chief Executives — the elite club of Canada's richest CEOs — and the Canada West Foundation, an Alberta think-tank that promotes, among other things, closer economic integration with the United States.

U.S. legislator warns of Bush plot to merge Canada, the U.S. and Mexico

WASHINGTON-- A U.S. legislator who backs tough anti-immigrant measures and more security at the Canada-U.S. border is warning Americans that President George W. Bush is plotting to integrate the continent.

And he says Prime Minister Stephen Harper “buys into it.”

Colorado Republican Tom Tancredo, revered by some U.S. conservatives for his efforts to staunch the flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico, said this week that Bush is a dangerous internationalist.

“He is going to do what he can to create a place where the idea of America is just that, it’s an idea. It’s not an actual place defined by borders. I mean this is where the guy is really going,” he told WorldNetDaily, a controversial conservative website.

“I know this is dramatic, or maybe somebody would say overly dramatic. But I’m telling you that everything I see leads me to believe that this whole idea of the North American union, it’s not something that’s just written about by right-wing fringe kooks,” said Tancredo, who is considering a run at the presidency.

“It is something in the head of the president of the United States, the president of Mexico, I think the prime minister of Canada buys into it...”

MEXAMERICANADA: It's coming

Behind its innocuous title, the "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America," the United States will surrender its Constitution.According to Jerome R. Corsi, an author and political commentator, our nation-state prerogatives would be superseded by the authority of a North American court and parliamentary body and our dollar would become the "Amero."

One of the most visible steps already under way is the plan for a N.A.F.T.A. superhighway. 1,200 feet wide, stretching from Lazaro Cardenas on the west coast of Mexico, entering the United States at Laredo, Texas, and continuing straight north to Winnipeg, Canada, with another route to Kansas City thence north easterly to Detroit and Montreal.

Containerized goods from Asia will be offloaded onto Mexican trucks, with Mexican drivers, and distributed throughout the economic system.Go to www.nascocorridor.com to view the plan and progress. There will be no internal boundaries to restrict the flow of people, goods or services.

IDAHO NIXES ‘AMERICAN UNION’

Thirteen states join Idaho lawmakers to stop globalist plan for the Americas

Stepping up to the plate, Idaho has now become the first state to pass a legislative resolution, House Joint Memorial No. 5, in an effort to direct the U.S. Congress to drop out of the North American Union, or NAU—a proposed economic-political merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada. The resolution also calls on Congress to withdraw from any further participation in the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America, an initiative designed to lay the groundwork for the NAU. The NAU is approximately modeled after the European Union, or EU, which is comprised of formerly independent nations and is largely ruled by a centralized bureaucracy in Brussels. The 13 states besides Idaho urging Congress to nix the NAU/SPP are: Georgia, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, Montana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and Virginia. Some of the state resolutions oppose the creation of North American Free Trade Agreement “superhighways” like the Trans-Texas Corridor, or TTC, a super-wide highway, railway and utility system slated to be built parallel to Interstate 35 from Laredo, Texas, north to the border with Oklahoma, with concrete tributaries and other tollways rippling through Texas as part of a continental cargo transport system.

Help stop NAFTA before it abolishes the USA

Meet NAFTA version 2.0 — the plan to establish a North American Union is one of the most important topics confronting our country, as it threatens to abolish the USA and the freedom that it represents. On March 23, 2005, Prime Minister Paul Martin, President Bush and President Vicente Fox, the respective leaders of Canada, USA and Mexico, met in Waco, Texas, to discuss plans to merge our three countries into a North American Union (NAU), calling their agreement the "Security and Prosperity Partnership" (SPP).

In spite of our government's rhetoric to enforce a border, even build a fence, the SPP calls for the removal of our borders. It envisions a common economic system under a common currency, the amero, a common law, common enforcement of the law, common emergency domestic response for "common problems," and I would expect, a common military. Being a treaty, it would require senatorial approval only if our leaders uphold and defend the constitution of the United States. Instead, plans are being made to circumvent congress. Canada's Macleans magazine, in Meet NAFTA 2.0, has revealed a North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), which plans to implement the NAU by stealth. Its membership includes Lockheed Martin's Ron Covais, who stated, "We've decided not to recommend any things that would require legislative changes." He means government financing. Covais is a former pentagon advisor to Dick Cheney.

Foreign air strikes kill 65 Afghan civilians: mayor

Probes find 50 Afghan civilians killed in US-led action

Investigations into a US-led offensive in western Afghanistan at the weekend found around 50 civilians were killed, officials said Wednesday, as President Hamid Karzai summoned the top US general over the casualties.

The Afghanis do not hate us "because we are free": they hate us because we seem to be doing a very good job of killing their wives, their husbands, sons, daughters, and loved ones.

There will be a "tipping point" in this war where the Afghani people start believing that throwing their lot in with the Taliban is an infinitely better choice than backing Hamid Karzai's government.

Bring back Taliban to end police corruption, say Afghan truckers

When the Taliban first rose to power in the mid-1990s, it was in part a response to the rampant lawlessness on Afghanistan's roads, which had been dominated by the illegal checkpoints of warlords. Travelling anywhere was a gamble, and leading figures in the transport industry supported Mullah Mohammed Omar's fundamentalists because they longed for security. According to today's truck drivers, history is in danger of repeating itself.

One can see, from this article, just how magnificently well the NATO "occupation" of Afghanistan is going in terms of ridding the country of crippling corruption.
